Vintage ToonCast

Vintage ToonCast
Vintage ToonCast The Vintage ToonCast is a collection of cartoons and PSA's from the 1930's to the 1960's whose copyright has expired and thus now in the public domain.

They feature classic characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Betty Boop, Popeye and Superman but before you start playing them to your toddler as Nick Jr replacements be aware that they are of a certain era and some include 2nd world war propaganda, racial and sexual stereotypes - hence the podcast's explicit tag in iTunes.

However as a glimpse into early animation style and how the days current affairs, erroneous consciousness and government disinformation became subtle and sometimes not so subtle undercurrents in essentially children's cartoons they are curious to watch if you think of them as historic relics rather than humorous modern entertainment.
