British Board of Film Classification Podcast
British Board of Film Classification Podcast The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) is an independent, non-governmental body which since its inception in 1912 has been responsible for classifying and in some cases censoring films for cinema and home release and more recently video game and online content in the UK.

In their official podcast BBFC film examiner James Blatch discusses the age restricted categories of film and what content such as themes of sex and violence and indeed context dictates a films rating.

Historic and current rated decisions are discussed and suggested edits to a film to either lower or increase a rating are given as examples of the guidelines which are constantly being reviewed. Additionally the podcast includes interviews with senior members of BBFC and public groups promoting film classification.
